For the Lions (6-4) defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is active for today’s game and will be hoping to make an impact like he did when he delivered a top performance on Thanksgiving in 2015 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
It is the first time Ansah will be active since the Monday Night Football game at the Packers.
Meanwhile, as expected, fellow defensive end Dwight Freeney, who joined the Lions on Wednesday, one day after he was waived by the Seahawks, is inactive, following his late arrival to Detroit.
He’s expected to contribute extensively for the Lions further down in the fixtures, but is just not ready to play in such a quick turnaround after he featured for Seattle in Monday night’s game.
Also inactive for the Lions on Thanksgiving Day are running backs Dwayne Washington and Jamal Agnew, cornerback and offensive linemen Don Barclay and Emmett Cleary, along with defensive end Jeremiah Valoaga.
Meanwhile, for the Vikings, Andrew Sendejo and Brian Robison, who were both listed as questionable entering today, are active.
However, as expected, offensive lineman Mike Remmers (concussion), is inactive again and misses his third game in a row since going down in the first five minutes of the clash against the Cleveland Browns game.
Minnesota says Rashod Hill, who has played well in the previous two games, will start in his place at right tackle for the third consecutive start.
Among the inactive players today are quarterback Kyle Sloter, wide receiver and running back Mack Brown.
Minnesota (8-2) is riding a six-game winning streak entering this game, while the Lions have won three straight.
Minnesota Vikings inactives: OT Mike Remmers (concussion), QB Kyle Sloter, WR Stacy Coley, RB Mack Brown, OT Aviante Collins, DE Tashawn Bower, DT Jaleel Johnson.
Detroit Lions inactives: DE Dwight Freeney, DE Jeremiah Valoaga, CB Jamal Agnew, RB Dwayne Washington, RB Tion Green, OL Don Barclay, OL Emmett Cleary.
