The Chelsea full-back was left out of the squad in the easy win over San Marino last week, but is back and replaces Leighton Baines at left-back.

Also returning to the starting line-up tonight are captain Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Jermain Defoe, James Milner and Joleon Lescott.

Tom Cleverley keeps his place and will play alongside Michael Carrick and Gerrard in midfield, but his Manchester United teammate Danny Welbeck is on the bench with Defoe returning.

The game will see England keeper Joe Hart renewing his short battle with Poland targetman Robert Lewandowski, following the pair’s battle during the last Championships League fixture for their respective clubs.
