LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Manchester City dropped two valuable Premier League points on Saturday after drawing at home with Sunderland, but it could have been a defeat for Roberto Mancini’s side.
Down 3-1, City were able to score two late goals to a come away with a 3-3 tie, but is now two points behind Manchester United, which have a game in hand.
Manchester United face Blackburn on the road on Monday.
In other results on Saturday, Bolton continued their push for survival with a 3-2 victory over Wolves, Wigan also picked up a vital win, following a 2-0 result over Stoke City, while Arsenal were beaten 2-1 at QPR.
Elsewhere, Fulham took a 2-1 over Norwich, Everton beat West Bromwich 2-0 and Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 4-2. Fernando Torres getting on the scoresheet once again.
On Sunday, Newcastle beat ten-man Liverpool 2-0 and Tottenham had a 3-1 win over Swansea City.
