Everton manager David Moyes has handed goalkeeper Jan Mucha his FA Cup debut with regular first-choice and American shot-stopper Tim Howard being ruled out with broken bones in his back. Experienced defender John Heitinga and Phil Neville are brought in to keep things stable at the back and in the middle, while Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic lead the attack.
Meanwhile, Wigan, battling for Premier League survival, made four changes from the side that was beaten 4-0 drubbing by Liverpool with the Jordi Gomez, Joel Robles, Callum McManaman and Antolin Alcaraz all starting.
