LONDON, Sporting Alert – English Premier League fixtures and game times for the final set of matches taking place in 2016, in addition to the fixtures that will be opening the New Year in 2017.

The full schedule for Saturday, December 31, 2016 through Monday, January 2, 2017, is listed below.

Chelsea Hunt More EPL Points

Chelsea, who sit atop of the English Premier League standings with 46 points, will be aiming to maintain their advantage with another win this season.

On Saturday the Blues will take on Stoke City trying to win a club record 13th straight games, which would also see them equal the top-flight record for wins in a single season and copy the run of Preston North End and Sunderland in 1891-92, and Arsenal in 2001-02.

“To have 12 wins in a row is a great achievement, but it’s not enough to win the league at this point of the season,” Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said at his press conference.

Conte welcome back holding midfielder N’Golo Kante and striker Diego Costa after the pair missed the last game because of suspension.

BBC Sports pundits are predicting Chelsea to easily put away Stoke by 3-0 but Potters boss Mark Hughes believes his team is capable of leaving Stamford Bridge this weekend with something.

Hughes said: “We’re going into it with the intention of stopping the run if we can – and why can’t it be us?

“We went there last year and got our first point at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, which proves we have good talent in our team.”

Liverpool v Manchester City A Classic

Second-place Liverpool will place host to Manchester City in the featured game of Week 19 in the EPL on Saturday.

The Reds will be without star forward Philippe Coutinho, who is nursing an ankle injury and defender Joel Matip, who is also unavailable with the same problem.

Manchester City, meanwhile, welcome back forward Sergio Aguero after serving his four-match suspension but Leroy Sane and Vincent Kompany are still on the sidelines.

In other English Premier League games in Week 19, Manchester United will play host to Middlesbrough at Old Trafford, Leicester City will take on West Ham United, while managerless Swansea City host Bournemouth.
