There were wins for Chelsea and Manchester United, while defending champions Leicester City rallied from two goals down and a man short to earn a point a Stoke City.
Leaders Chelsea stayed atop of the Premier League standings with a narrow 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.
The league’s leading goalscorer, Diego Costa bagged the lone goal of the contest to earn Antonio Conte’s side its 11th straight victory on the season.
Chelsea also became only the third club to reach 500 English Premier League wins, joining Manchester United and Arsenal in that category.
The Blues, with the win, moved nine points clear of second place Liverpool and Arsenal but both clubs have a game in hand.
Manchester United picked their third win on the trot after in-form striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted twice in a 2-0 win at West Bromwich.
Ibrahimovic, who also scored the winner in the 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace in midweek, was scoring his tenth goal in nine matches for the Red Devils.
The Swede first headed home from a brilliant cross by Jesse Lingard after only five minutes before netting again early into the second half when his shot from inside the box deflected off West Brom defender Craig Dawson and went past goalkeeper Ben Foster.
Leicester City recovered from a two-goal deficit and the sending off of striker Jamie Vardy to earned a point at Stoke, following a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Stoke City took advantage of the dismissal of Vardy for a poor challenge on Mame Biram Diouf in the 28th minute.
Bojan converted a penalty in the 39th to give the home side the lead before Joe Allen doubled the tally just before halftime.
However, as substitute Leonardo Ulloa made an instant impact when the jumped highest to beat goalkeeper Lee Grant to cut the gap to 2-1 in the 74th minute.
Daniel Amartey grabbed a late equaliser from another header when he also rises highest to beat Grant.
Also picking up much-needed wins in the Premier League on Saturday were relegation battle Sunderland, West Ham United and Middlesbrough.
Patrick van Aanholt scored the only goal at Stadium of Light in the 49th minute and Sunderland grabbed a nail-biting 1-0 win over Watford.
Meanwhile, top scorer Alvaro Negredo got a brace, including a 29th-minute penalty kick and Marten de Roon added another goal for Middlesbrough to beat struggling Swansea City 3-0.
At London Stadium, Mark Noble converted a 76th-minute penalty for West Ham to top Hull City 1-0 in the other result in the EPL Saturday.
