LONDON – English Premier League scores from the latest group of matches played on Sunday, December 4.
The latest EPL standings after Week 14 is also included in this update, as Chelsea continue to lead the league table, Manchester United keep drawing and Arsenal continue to be a threat.
Week 14 began at Etihad Stadium where Chelsea recovered from a goal down to tag Manchester City 3-1, with Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Willian getting on the scoresheet for the Blues.
Antonio Conte’s men fell behind on an own goal from Gary Cahill, but rallied to take all three points on the road.
Three English Premier League scores produced five or more goals in Week 14, including the Liverpool and Bournemouth clash which provided a seven-goal thriller in what turned out to be the game of the weekend.
Trailing 3-1 and looked well set to relinquish another three points, Bournemouth turned things around late to seal a last minute 4-3 victory over Liverpool on Sunday
Alexis Sánchez netted a second-half hat-trick (72′, 80′, 86′) at London Stadium on Saturday and Mesut Özil andAlex Oxlade-Chamberlain also added goals for Arsenal to crush West Ham 5-1.
The Gunners led 1-0 at halftime, but found their scoring touch after the interval to cruise to the victory on the road.
Another English Premier League title contender, Tottenham were also in good form in Week 14 – putting five goals past a troubling Swansea City, which fell to the bottom of the EPL standings.
Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen each had a brace and Son Heung-Min finished with a goal as well for Spurs in the 5-0 clubbing of the Swans.
In other English Premier League scores this weekend, Manchester United surrendered another lead and were held 1-1 at Everton, Sunderland grabbed a vital 2-1 win over defending champion Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion beat Watford 3-1, Crystal Palace turned back Southampton 3-0, while Stoke City defeated Burnley 2-0.
So after 14 weeks of entertaining football, the EPL standings see Chelsea sitting on top with 34 points, three more than Arsenal (31) and Liverpool are in third with 30pt.
Manchester City also have 30pts, with Tottenham (27), Manchester United (21) and West Bromwich Albion (20) complete the Top 10.
The bottom three teams are Sunderland (11pts), Hull City (11pts) and Swansea City (9pts).
