Defending champions Chelsea will seek to win back-to-back titles since the 2004–05 and 2005–06 seasons under Jose Mourinho, while hoping to also become the first team to achieved the feat since Manchester United won three titles in a row from 2006-2009.

The Blues have returned several of its star players from the 2014-15 successful campaign, including Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Oscar, and Mourinho is confident his squad is good enough to stage another run at winning another crown.
At the same time though, the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all strengthened their respective squads for the coming season and are expected to make life very difficult reigning champions.
The likes of Tottenham, Everton, Swansea City, Stoke City and Southampton all have aspirations of playing in Europe, which makes the battle for places in the top seven very interested.
Base on last season, and on history, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City are expected to be the teams in the forefront for places in the Champions League, but there are always some turns and twists throughout the campaign.
Looking at the relegation fight, newly promoted teams are also the ones more times than less fighting for survival.
The 2015-16 season will see Watford, Leicester City and Bournemouth taking the center stage as they try to earn a respectable place in the Premier League points standings and secure a place into the season beyond this one.
Obviously it will be no bed of roses for the new clubs, but many have shown in the past that it isn’t quite impossible to play good football and stay up, as the likes of Swansea City, Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham United have shown that it can be done.
