LONDON, Sporting Alert – The updated English Premier League table standings on Tuesday 3, May, following the scores that took place on Monday.
Surprised package Leicester City defy the odds to beat the 5,000/1 betting figures and win the Premier League title this season, after second place Tottenham failed to win their clash with Chelsea on Monday night.

The Foxes are now the champions with two games to spare, as they sit on 77 points, seven more than Spurs, who cannot catch them.
Tottenham is on 70 points from 36 games, with Arsenal sitting third on 67 points and Manchester City fourth on 64.
Base on the current Premier League table standings, Leicester City, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City would be the Champions League qualifiers, but things can change very quickly over the next few weeks.
Manchester United and West Ham United – the fifth and sixth teams in the table standings at the moment, are still positive about finishing in the top four next year, and with both teams having one game in hand, things are setting up for a tasty finish in the coming weeks.
Southampton, Liverpool, Stoke City and Chelsea make up the top 10 at the moment, with Everton sitting in 11th place and are followed by Watford, Swansea City, AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, to round out the top 15 positions.
At the bottom, Sunderland and Norwich City will be hoping for favourable results in their next fixtures in their push to beat the leave zone.
Newcastle United climbed out of the relegation zone over the weekend, but is no where being safe, as two poor results, combined with positive scores for those below them could send them crashing at the end of the campaign.
Aston Villa is already relegated.
