Pep Guardiola Premier League Scores

LONDON, Sporting Alert – Scores, results and points standings after the English Premier League matches played on Saturday and Sunday.

Leading the way in Week 6 were leaders Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s men sealed a sixth straight victory to open up a four-point gap at the top of the EPL points standings.

On Saturday, the Citizens struck twice in the second half to cruise past Swansea City 3-1 at Liberty Stadium, with Sergio Aguero marking his return from suspension with a brace.

Raheem Sterling netted the other goal for Manchester City as they made it a perfect six wins from six under Guardiola.

Fernando Llorente cancelled out Aguero’s ninth-minute opener in the 13th minute to take the scores to 1-1 at halftime, but the leaders were too strong in the second half.

Arsenal blasted their way to third place in the points standings after hammering fellow title challengers Chelsea 3-0 at Emirates Stadium.

First half goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil did the trick for Arsene Wenger’s men, as they moved five points behind Manchester City.

Liverpool were also in a hammering mood this weekend, after Jurgen Klopp’s side blasted five goals into the net of Hull City in a 5-1 win.

The Reds, who will be fighting for a Champions League spot this season, are currently sitting fourth with 13 points in the EPL points standings.

Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League in Week 6, after they hammered champions Leicester City at Old Trafford.

It was also another dominating first half performance from Jose Mourinho’s side, as Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba gave the home side a 4-0 lead before the break.

Manchester United are sitting sixth in the table standings.

In other scores in Week 6, second place Tottenham edged Middlesbrough 2-1, West Ham United suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Southampton, while Crystal Palace had a 3-2 win over Sunderland.
