EPL Points Standings Ahead Nov. 22 Fixtures

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — The Barclays English Premier League points standings heading into this weekend’s list of games on Nov. 21.

Undefeated Chelsea continue to lead the points standings with 29pts from 11 games. Jose Mourinho’s side has won nine of the 11 games played in the EPL so far this season, with the other two ending in draws.

The Blues are yet to suffer a defeat this term, while scoring 28 goals and conceding 11 from those league fixtures.

Chelsea have a busy schedule coming up, but Mourinho is just looking at one game at a time.

“I go match by match,” the manager said. “I know we have seven Premier League games, plus two Champions League games and one in the Capital One Cup (up until Boxing Day).

“My focus is on West Brom, not West Ham on 26 December, Tottenham or Stoke.

“We are going to play just thinking about West Brom, playing with the team we think is the best team.”

Southampton continue to sit second in the league standing with 25 points, and keeping alive the dream of playing in the Champions League next season.

The Saints have netted 23 goals and have only let in five, which is fewest any team has conceded on the term.

Defending champions Manchester City are in third with 21 points, three more than West Ham United and Swansea City, who both have 18 points and have hopes of making it into Europe.

Arsenal are sixth with 17 points, one more than Manchester United and the two EPL giants will battle for more points when they face-off in London on Saturday.

The English Premier League top 10 is completed by Newcastle United, Stoke City and Everton.

There is also excitement at the bottom, as the three promoted sides, Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers and Burnley are holding up the table standings and are yet to breaking into double-digits as far as points are concerned.
