MADRID (Sporting Alert) – Sir Alex Ferguson is always looking for future stars and the Manchester United boss was at it again, following EPL transfer reports linking him with a move for Brazilian striker Leo Baptistao.
According to The Sun, Ferguson sent out one of his scouts to watch the Rayo Vallecano star attacker, who is being rated as a £5million young talent.
It is understood that Ferguson specially sent out a spy to watch the 20-year-old Brazilian during Vallecano’s 3-1 victory over Getafe in the Spanish La Liga fixture over the weekend.
Reports are also claiming that several scouts from other EPL teams were at hand to watch Baptistao.
It is believed that Premier League sides, Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool had representatives watching the player, while the likes of Leeds and Brighton are understood to be very interested
Baptistao, who has scored seven goals in 17 LaLiga games so far this season, would be interested in a move to the Premiership.
