MANCHESTER, Sporting Alert – Manchester City returned to the top of the English Premier League, but Chelsea continues to go the wrong way. EPL standings and results from Week 10 on Oct. 25.

The Citizens picked up a point on Sunday with a 0-0 drawn at Manchester United to go back on top of the standings, despite being on the same amount of points as Arsenal.

Manchester City and Arsenal are both on 22 points after 10 games, but Manuel Pellegrini’s men have a better goal-difference.

The Gunners initially went to the top of the standing on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Everton to claim its third successive EPL victory, but were pushed down a place.

Striker Andy Carroll jumped off the bench to score the winner for West Ham United in their 2-1 win over Chelsea and the Hammers moved to third place and currently sit in a Champions League slot with 20 points.

Manchester United are also on 20 points, but West Ham has a better goal-difference.

Chelsea, because of the defeat, dropped to 16th place in the EPL standings – piling on more pressure on manager Jose Mourinho, who must now be worried about his job.

The Blues have 11 points from 10 games and are off to one of its worst starts in club history.

In-form England forward Jamie Vardy netted the winner for Leicester City in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, with the Foxes sitting 5th with 19pts.

Harry Kane bagged a hat-trick to help Tottenham to a 5-1 victory over Bournemouth, with Spurs sitting sixth in the league on 17pts.

Crystal Palace (15), Southampton, Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion, are all on 14 points and complete the top 10.

Rooted at the bottom EPL standings is managerless Aston Villa, which fired Tim Sherwood over the weekend.

Sunderland and Newcastle United also in the relegation zone.
