ESPN3, ESPN2: Reading v Southampton Team News, Live

(Sporting Alert) — Nigel Adkins has made five changes to his Reading team for today’s Barclays Premier League clash against his former club Southampton at The Madejski Stadium.

Adam Le Fondre, Chris Gunter, Sean Morrison, Hope Akpan and goalkeeper Adam Federici all return to the starting team for the important clash at home.

Midfielders Hal Robson-Kanu and Danny Guthrie start as well as Reading look for Barclays Premier League survival.

Reading were beaten 4-1 in Adkins’ first game in charge in the last outing.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino, in the meantime, made just one adjustment to his side from the last outing, with Gaston Ramirez replacing Jason Puncheon, who starts on the bench today.

Jay Rodriguez, Rickie Lambert, Nathaniel Clyne and Steven Davis all start.
