What’s First On Koeman Agenda? Lukaku, Stones…

New manager Ronald Koeman, who joined the club from Southampton earlier this summer, has been busy searching for new players to shape his side, in addition to trying to convince the likes of defender John Stones and forward Romelu Lukaku to stick around.

Koeman will begin his Everton tenure with a home game at Goodison Park against Tottenham on August 13, while the final game of the Premier League campaign will be against Arsenal on the road on May 21.

The Toffees will also host Liverpool at home on December 17 in Koeman’s first Merseyside derby, with the return date for this battle scheduled for April 1 at Anfield.

Another interesting series in the Everton fixtures comes on November 26 when Koeman returns to his former club Southampton in what is expected to be an entertaining contest.

The Blues will play nine of their opening 17 games at home, including back-to-back fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool and after last year’s dismal record at Goodison Park, Koeman, who replaced Roberto Martinez at the end of the season, will be hoping for better results on home soil.

The Everton fixtures in the December period will be very tricky, though, despite playing three of the first round matches during that period at home.

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United come to town on December 3, before the Gunners and Reds make the road trips on the 14 and 17.

On December 10 Everton will take on Watford away, while during the Christmas festive, Koeman’s side will have to travel to defending champions Leicester City and the newly promoted Hull City.

New Year Fixture Setups Up Very Nice…

The Toffees will play their first game in 2017 on January 2 and it is at home against Southampton.

Everton will play four of its last seven English Premier League games at home, while there are back-to-back home fixtures set for December, January, March and April.

Under Martinez management last season, the Merseyside outfits finished in a disappointing 11th in the Premier League table standings, although the club reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
