Bale had been doubtful for the game after he picked up an ankle injury in the last Premier League game and a virus leading up to the contest.

However, he’s been included in the starting team for tonight and will be hoping to deliver a similar performance like he did in Cardiff when he netted twice to sink these opponents in October.

Craig Bellamy, available again for international duties, starts in the attack and will play with Hal Robson-Kanu.

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey also starts, so too does Swansea City defender Ahsley Williams.

In the meantime, Scotland left Steven Naismith, Charlie Adam Kenny Miller and Kris Commons all on the pitch, but Shaun Maloney, Steven Fletcher, James McArthur, Alan Hutton and Gary Caldwell all start.
