F1 RESULTS-2013 Chinese Grand Prix

SHANGHAI (Sporting Alert) — Fernando Alonso driving for Ferrari won the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday. The following are the results from the competition in Shanghai.

The Spaniard dominated the 56 lap race to become the third driver to claim victory in as many races this season.

“Definitely it was a fantastic race for us from the start to the end,” Alonso was quoted as saying following the win.

“We had no problems with the car, the tyre degradation was better than expected.

“It feels fantastic. After the retirement in Malaysia we were under pressure to finish but of the two races we have finished we have been second and first so it is looking good and we are very optimistic.”

Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes were second and third, respectively, with Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel following home.
