Amongst the teams down on the fixture today are Arsenal, Everton and QPR, with Manchester United playing later and Manchester City beating Stoke City 1-0 in the early kick-off.

Arsenal, fresh from their 5-1 hammering of West Ham United in the Premier League will take on Brighton, with manager Arsene Wenger hoping that his students, who tend to follow up a big win with a disappointing performance, doesn’t embarrass him today.

Jack Wilshere, who was expected to lead the side out, is on the bench. Another Wenger student on the bench today is winger Theo Walcott, with playmaker Santi Cazorla also right there with him.

Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski are all amongst the starters.

Elsewhere, Everton will match talents with Bolton and this tie is expected to be a very trick one for the Premier League side at Reebok Stadium.

David Moyes named a very stroke starting lineup also for this game, with Leighton Baines, Kevin Mirallas, Steven Pienaar, Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic all starting.

Meanwhile, Bobby Zamora is on the bench for QPR, while Jay Bothroyd, DJ Campbell and Ji-Sung Park all started against MK Dons.

Roberto Green is in goal, but there was no Julio Cesar. There was no Loic Remy, as expected.
