by MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed rumors he looking to sell Nani in the January transfer window and added that the player still has a future with the club.
There have been numerous media reporters linking the Portugal international with a move away from Old Trafford, but Manchester United Winger Nani: Reports” href=”https://sportingalert.com/2012/12/arsenal-manchester-united-winger-nani-reports/”>The winger, who was linked with a transfer move to Arsenal, is currently out with a hamstring injury, but Ferguson expects him to return in January.
“He’s got an incredible talent, but, unfortunately, he’s been injured,” the boss said.
“We have sent Nani over to Dubai for a break in the hope that it will help him with his recovery.
“I don’t think we will have him back until the middle of January. He’s never had a hamstring injury before and this is a bad one.”
Ferguson also said he will not be entering the transfer market in January as he believes his team already has enough quality players to win the Premier League title this season.
Manchester United hold a seven point lead in the EPL table after beating West Bromwich 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Defending champions Manchester City sit second 42 points, while Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal complete the top five teams in the Premier League after Saturday fixtures.
