SPORTING ALERT – International football friendlies are back on the schedule and ESPN3 will be streaming several games live online on Friday, November 13.

Highlighting the list of exhibitions on the fixtures for the day is the clash between Spain and England at Jose Rico Perez in Alicante.

Both these countries will be looking to do some experimental with their respective squad, but each head coach will field a strong enough starting lineup to win the game.

England will be without striker and captain Wayne Rooney, who will sit out this game as Roy Hodgson looks at other talents available to him in preparations for the 2016 Euro Championship.

On-form Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy (if he shakes off a knock) is expected to start in the attack alongside Tottenham’s Harry Kane, with Everton’s Ross Barkley also set to play a big role in the hunt for goals.

“We are going to use the two games to look at various combinations, various groups of players playing together,” Hodgson told his press conference.

“In some ways it will be good if we can spare players when possible having to play two games at this stage of the season and it will be good for me to see how various combinations are developing.

“Obviously, at the front we have Wayne, Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Ross Barkley – there are combinations there that interest me.”

Spain could also do some experiment of their own as well, with coach Vicente del Bosque looking to rebuild his midfield combinations before Euro 2016.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is set to start this game, while his teammate Juan Mata and Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara could also start.

This should be an entertaining matchup so make sure to go online and watch the live streaming coverage on ESPN3.com.

Meanwhile, two other live games on ESPN3 that will be of interest are the clashes between Belgium against Italy and France against Germany.

Italy and Belgium, two teams with strong aspirations for next year’s Euro championship, will battle at King Baudouin Stadium, while tournament hosts France will take on World Cup champions Germany.
