Football Scores: International Friendly game – Feb. 6

(Sporting Alert) — England, Spain, Argentina and Germany were amongst the winners on Wednesday’s busy night of international friendly games. The following are the football scores on the day.

England stunned Brazil 2-1 at Wembley with Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard scoring the goals in the victory.

Substitute Fred had equalised for Brazil in the second half after coming on for Ronaldinho, who missed a first half penalty kick.

Barcelona winger Pedro scored twice in Spain’s 3-1 victory over Uruguay with another Barca player, Cesc Fabregas, also getting on the scoresheet. Cristian Rodriguez scored for Uruguay as both teams went into the break at 1-1.

Germany, meanwhile came from behind to beat France 2-1. Matthieu Valbuena gave France the lead just before the half-time break, but Thomas Muller and Sami Khedira struck in the second half for the Germans.

In other football scores on Wednesday night, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain helped Argentina edged Sweden 3-2, Cristiano Ronaldo was on target, but Portugal were beaten 3-2 by Ecuador, while Croatia hammered South Korea 4-0.

Elsewhere, Netherlands and Italy played to a 1-1 draw, Japan defeated Latvia 3-0 and Belgium beat Slovakia.
