The Thunder battled to a 93-91 victory in Game 1 on Sunday, with Kevin Durant collecting 35 points, 15 rebounds and six assists in the win.

“There’s no question guys have it and guys don’t, and Kevin has it,” Thunder head coach Scott Brooks said. “He loves big moments.

“I’m sure he’s always been that type of player from the day he picked up a basketball.

“He has it because he has the skill level, he has the ability to get where he wants to get to.

“In order to really have it, you have to be able to understand that some nights it’s not going to go for you but you have to be able to do it again the next time. So, you have to have that short-term memory.”

Kevin Martin was also another key contributor for Oklahoma City with 25 points.

With All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook done for the rest of the season, the Thunder needed another key contributor to complement Durant and Martin stepped up.

Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 20 points and 10 rebounds and 18 points and 10 rebounds, respectively.

These two will again be a handful for the Thunder, who impressed with the matchups on Sunday.
