(Sporting Alert) — The Netherlands will look to bounce back from its disappointing start to the 2012 Euro tournament when they take on Germany on Wednesday night.

The 2012 Euro tournament started on Friday, June 8 – games will be televised live on ESPN and its networks, including live streaming on ESPN3.com, ESPNDeportes and WatchESPN.com.

The Oranje were beaten 1-0 by Denmark in their opening game and will need to avoid defeat against Germany it they are to remain in the runnings for a place into the quarter-finals.

Once again, all eyes will be on the attacking line for Dutch, who failed to capitalized on the chances given in the first game match.

Meanwhile, former international Ruud van Nistelrooy is backing both Robin van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to start start against Germany in important Group B match.

“They’re two strikers with enormous qualities, and I definitely think they could play together. Huntelaar and Van Persie would be a very interesting duo,” Van Nistelrooy was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.

“However, I don’t think Bert van Marwijk will change his formation [to accommodate both of them].”

Germany can book their place into the quarter-finals with a win, following their 1-0 victory over Portugal in the first game of the group stages.
