Head coach Didier Deschamps is going with Olivier Giroud and Karim Benzema in his attack for the game, as France seek to carry over their impressive performances in the group stage into the knockout round.

Raphael Varane and Laurent Koscielny will pair off in the heart of the back line, with Mathieu Debuchy and Patrice Evra alongside them. Mamadou Sakho and Bacary Sagna were left on the bench.

Yohan Cabaye returns to the team with Paul Pogba also starting as well in midfield.

In the meantime, Nigeria go into the game with five midfielders as they seek to stifle the attacking threats from the likes of Pogba and Cabaye, in addition to limiting the services to the front two men.
