SPORTING ALERT — The following are the Group A FIFA 2018 World Cup squads for Russia, confirmed by the different football federations, for this summer.

Group A for Russia 2018 will feature the host nation, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Some of the highlighted players in this group are Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool free-scoring forward this season who will lineup for Egypt and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, who will lead the Uruguay attack.

Edinson Cavani from Uruguay, Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, Mohamed Elneny from Egypt as well as Diego Godin of Uruguay and Alan Dzagoev of Russia.

World 2018 kicks off on Thursday June 14 with host Russia taking on Saudi Arabia at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
