Heat v Mavericks and Lakers v Thunder – Live on TNT

(Sporting Alert) — The Miami Heat will seek to stop their current skid when LeBron James and his crew entertain the Dallas Mavericks in a repeat of last year’s championship game.

The Heat (35-13), after winning four straight, were humbled 103-87 by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday and then beaten 105-90 the following night at the Indiana Pacers.

Now James and Heat return to the AmericanAirlines Arena with the goal of getting back on winning ways as they seek to build another momentum.

The Dallas Mavericks enter the contest on the back of back-to-back wins over the Houston Rockets, with the latest on being a 90-81 victory at home.

Champion forward Dirk Nowitzki leads the Mavericks this season in scoring again and he currently averages 21.0 per game.

Tonight he will come up against a Miami Heat team, with the likes of James – (26.7), Dwyane Wade (22.9) and Chris Bosh (18.1) – hungry to stop the bleeding.

The clash will see the league’s two top scorers, Kobe Bryant – (LAL) – 28.3 and Kevin Durant – (OKC) – 27.9 – matching shots, while the likes of Russell Westbrook – (OKC) – 24.2 and Andrew Bynum – (LAL) – 18.2 – will play massive part in the direction in which the winning result will go.

Oklahoma City (38-12), after cruising past the Heat, knocked off the Portland Trail Blazers, 109-95, Tuesday night and are full of confidence heading into the contest. The Thunder have won four games in a row.

Meanwhile, the Lakers (31-19) come into tonight’s game with the hope of building on the close 104-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

The Lakers have won three of its last four games.

There were beaten 100-85 when these two sides met the first time on February 23. Durant was the star performer for the Thunder with 33 points.
