Peoples Destroys North Texas

Peoples, who carried the ball 22 times on the day, rushed for an average 14.4 yards with his longest run being 76 yards.

The sophomore ran for 3, 64, 62, 1 and 11 yard scores as the Mountaineers, who tallied 636 total yards. Marcus Williams Jr. rushed six times for 101 yards with one score.

Quarterback Zac Thomas completed 8 of 16 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown, while Malik Williams also threw a TD pass with Henry Pearson grabbing both scoring receptions.

Jason Bean was 21 of 36 on completed passes for 251 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for North Texas. Kason Martin threw a 16 yard TD pass to Loronzo Thompson, who ended the game with two scoring catches.

Tre Siggers rushed 17 times for 120 yards, while Oscar Adaway III carried the ball 26 times for 97 yards and a score.

Austin Ogunmakin caught seven passes for 131 yards and a touchdown for the Mean Green.
