The previous match between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago was a 0-0 draw in a friendly international game that took place on March 14, 2023, at Independence Park, but the Soca Warriors also beat the Reggae Boyz 1-0 in the first of that two-game series on March 11.

In the last five games, the head-to-head series is locked at 2-2.

“A win for Trinidad get them through, so we know what we are facing and that we need to get a good result against them,” Reggae Boyz coach Heimir Hallgrimsson said.

“We are just thinking about this match now and not too far ahead. We just want to go out and have a good performance and hopefully get a win. That is the only thing that we are thinking about at this stage of the tournament,” he added.
