Cavani has 18 goals on the season thus far, but is currently on a six-game goal drought will be hoping that he’s been saving his strikes for this contest. The last time he netted was in a 2-1 win over Parma on Jan. 27 and his drought has been hurtful.

Juventus and Napoli are separated by six-points in the Serie A standings, but a victory at the San Paolo would see the hosts cut that advantage in half, which would certain setup an exciting finish in the race for the title.

On the other side, leaders Juventus would go nine-points clear with a victory, but if they managed to do so, head coach Antonio Conte revealed that the Old Lady wouldn’t get too carried away with lots of big games left to be played.

“There are other big games to come, against Milan, Inter and Lazio,” Conte told www.juventus.com.

“This is just one of many challenges we need to overcome before we get to the finish line – the league will not end tomorrow.

“There is, of course, great media attention on the game but it will return when we go up against other big teams.

“I’m just pleased that being successful in such a short time has brought so much attention on us.”

Cavani not scoring seems to have hurt Napoli as well, as they enter Friday’s contest on the back of three consecutive Serie A draws, two of which ended 0-0 and the other 1-1.

The last time these two sides met in the league in October, Juventus, on the back of goals from substitutes Martin Caceres and Paul Pogba won the game 2-0.
