Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne Jr. – A Dynamic Duo
Tank Bigsby had a rollercoaster of a game, making a rookie mistake that nearly cost the Jaguars. However, he redeemed himself with a 1-yard touchdown run that gave Jacksonville the lead with just over five minutes left in the game.
Travis Etienne Jr. capitalized on Richardson’s interception, running 26 yards for a touchdown that put the game out of reach for the Colts.
Richardson’s Debut: A Mixed Bag
Anthony Richardson, the third-youngest quarterback to start a season opener in NFL history, had a solid but flawed debut. He completed 24 of 37 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown but threw a costly interception that led to Jacksonville’s game-sealing touchdown.
Richardson also led the Colts in rushing but had to leave the game due to a knee injury.
Ridley’s Return to the Gridiron
Calvin Ridley made a notable return, catching eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Ridley had been out of action since October 2021, missing the entire 2022 season due to a suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy. His performance indicates that he could be a key asset for the Jaguars moving forward.
