Jadeveon Clowney inactive again for Texans v Steelers

OCT. 20 (Sporting Alert) — Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is listed as inactive again for the Houston Texans in tonight’s Monday Night Football clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.

Clowney, who suffered a torn meniscus in his team’s season opener, had been limited in practice because of his knee injury, even though he workout out for the first time on Friday.

Houston has now declared him inactive, a clear evidence that he has not recovered fully from his surgery.

This means that Whitney Mercilus will continue to start in his place.

Also inactive for the Texas are wide reciever DeVier Posey and tackle Jeff Adams.

However, Arian Foster, who has recovered from a groin problem and wide receiver Andre Johnson (ankle), are among those listed as active for the Texans.

For the Pittsburgh Steelers, corner back Ike Taylor and wide receiver Justin Brown are listed as inactive.

Houston – OT Jeff Adams, DB Josh Aubrey, LB Jadeveon Clowney, DB Darryl Morris, WR DeVier Posey, DB Jumal Rolle, QB Tom Savage

Pittsburgh – WR Justin Brown, G Chris Hubbard, QB Landry Jones, DT Steve McLendon, LB Ryan Shazier, CB Ike Taylor, S Shamarko Thomas.
