MIAMI, FL (Sporting Alert) — LeBron James muscled his way to 23 points, a banged up Dwyane Wade came alive in the fourth quarter to finish with 18 and the Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls 94-91 in Game 5 of their semifinals to advance to the Eastern Conference final.
Miami had blown an 18 point lead and headed into the fourth quarter trailing 77-69. The Bulls at one point led by 11 points.
However, Wade took over down the stretch to help push the defending NBA champions another step closer to defending their crown.
James added eight assists and seven rebounds to his stats, while help came from Chris Bosh, who had 12 points and seven boards and Udonis Haslem, who added 10 points in the win.
Carlos Boozer paced the Chicago Bulls with a fine double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, while Nate Robinson added 21 points and six assists in the defeat.
Jimmy Butler grabbed 19 points and Richard Hamilton added 15 off the bench for the Bulls, which again played with Loul Deng and Kirk Hinrich.
Joakim Noah was held to just 1-of-5 from the field and he finished with three points for Chicago.
