TOKOYO (Sporting Alert) — Shinji Okazaki scored a brace and Japan beat Latvia 3-0 in a friendly football international game at Tokyo National Stadium on Wednesday.

Okazaki opened the scoring for Japan in the 41st minute when he smartly guided home a low cross played inside the penalty area. His slide home attempt went in off the post.

Keisuke Honda doubled the score on the hour mark when he fired over the head of Andris Vanins before Okazaki added a second and his team’s third to complete the easy 3-0 victory.

Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa played the entire 90 minutes of the game
