BOSTON (December 25) —— Jayson Tatum scored 41 points, including a massive dunk over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks 139-118 here at TD Garden on Christmas Day, Sunday night.
Tatum, who 14 of 22 from the field, hit three 3-pointers and made all 10 of his attempts from the free throw line to go with severn rebound, five assists and three steals in just under 36 minutes on the court. Jaylen Brown connected on 5 of his 9 attempts from 3-pointers and went 11 of 19 to finish with 29 points for Boston, which collected 12 points and five assists from Derrick White with Al Horford and Grant Williams each scoring 11 points in the win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo paced Milwaukee (22-11) with 27 points and nine rebound. JrueHoliday added 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds, with Brook Lopez scoring 16 points and Pat Connaughton ending with 15 and connected on four of his seven 3-pointers in his first start this season for the Bucks, who shot 50% from the field.
Meanwhile, Tatum is the third Boston player with 30+ points on Christmas Day. The Celtics (24-10) shot 58.8% from the field and had 29 assists on 50 made baskets.
