MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Kaka is back in Real Madrid squad for tonight’s Copa del Rey first leg semi-final El Clasico clash with Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Kaka, who has been linked with a move away from the La Liga champions, was out of the squad for the last few games, but has now been recalled by manager Jose Mourinho.
In total, Mourinho has named 19 players for the first El Clasico matchup in 2013.
Real Madrid are hoping to continue to dominate Barcelona in cup semi-finals.
The Whites have knocked-out Barca in three of the five cup semi-finals and striker Karim Benzema is confident of beating their arch rivals again.
“A Real Madrid-Barcelona is the best match in the world,” he said on RealMadrid.com. “We’re two amazing teams. It’s always a difficult game and the fans are ready to see a good game.
“The Clásicos are always different matches, but tomorrow we aim to score goals and win.
“Although we know that it’s a two-game round, we’re playing at home tomorrow and we want to play well and win.
“We played really well against them in the second round of the Supercopa and we hope for another victory. We’re ready for the match.”
Also named in the Real Madrid squad to face Barcelona are, Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo, Luka Modric and goalkeeper Diego Lopez.
