MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Brazilian star Kaka once pledged his future to Real Madrid, now is seems as though he is ready to leave the Spanish champions.
Real Madrid are ready to freshen things up this season with a number of players, including Kaka, reportedly set to make way.
The former AC Milan star has failed to live up to the expectations since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2009 and has decided to leave this summer.
Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes, president of his former club Sao Paulo, revealed the decision this week.
Lopes was quoted as saying: “He has decided to leave Real Madrid.
“Kaka believes that England or Spain would be two interesting destinations for him.
“Sao Paulo cannot deal with his astronomical contract. It is out of the reality of Brazilian football, even for the mighty Corinthians.”
It is believed that Tottenham and Chelsea are the early favourites to land Kaka with Real Madrid reportedly ready to entertain offers as low as €25 million.
It is being reported that Real Madrid is hoping to land Kaka’s fellow Brazilian teammate Neymar this summer as the club looks to spice things up in preparation for the coming season.
Tottenham though, have problems of their own as they must find a manager before signing players of Kaka’s calibre, following the shocking sacking of Harry Redknapp on Thursday.
