Germany are leading the group with 10 points, three more than second place Sweden who face Ireland today, while Kazakhstan have just one points from its four games played so far at the qualifying stage.

Germany threw a 4-0 lead away in their last qualifier and were held 4-4 by Sweden, and Joachim Low’s side will be hoping to avoid a repeat of that drama tonight.

Kazakhstan is expected to lose the game, but midfielder Muller will not be taking them lightly.

“Of course we’ve got to win there,” the Bayern Munich star said. “These are six points we have planned on and we need them for qualifying.

“We do have respect for Kazakhstan, but if we as Germany did not come here to win, then the world would not be in order.”
