Kentucky and Syracuse win: March Madness Scores and Results – Mar. 17

(Sporting Alert) — Top seeds Kentucky and Syracuse picked up impressive wins at the NCAA March Madness men’s basketball tournament on Saturday. The following are the scores and results.

Also winning on Saturday were Ohio State, Baylor and Marquette.

Kentucky were dominant from the opening tip and went on to beat Iowa State 87-71 with Marquis Teague, who finished with a game high 24 points, Darius Miller, who scored 19 points, Anthony Davis, who had 15 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two blocks – leading the way in the victory.

Syracuse shook off its shaky nervous start in the opening game to cruise past Kansas State, 75-59. Ohio State beat Gonzaga, 73-66, Marquette picked up a 62-53 result over Murray State, while Baylor eased to a 80-63 win over Colorado.
