Kevin Durant scores 17 points in the 1st quarter of Game 4 vs Houston

HOUSTON (Sporting Alert) — Kevin Durant has scored 17 points in the first quarter and the Oklahoma City Thunder leads the Houston Rockets 39-19 after the opening quarter of Game 4 tonight.

Durant shot 6-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-2 from three-point range as Oklahoma City took a 20 point lead early.

As a team, the Thunder shot 61.9 percent from the field in the quarter.

Oklahoma is without All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook, who will miss the rest of the playoffs after undergoing surgery on his knee Saturday.

Reggie Jackson started in his place.

The Thunder leads the seven game series 2-0 and will be hoping to go 3-0 up after tonight’s contest.
