The Phoenix Suns, currently 20-17 and seventh in the Western Conference, will start with point guard Chris Paul, shooting guard Landry Shamet, small forward Mikal Bridges, power forward Torrey Craig, and center Deandre Ayton.

Suns’ star player Devin Booker ranks 10th in the NBA with an impressive 27.1 points per game. He will miss his third straight game with a groin injury.

The New York Knicks, with a record of 19-18 and sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, will field a lineup featuring point guard Jalen Brunson, shooting guard Immanuel Quickley, small forward Quentin Grimes, power forward Julius Randle, and center Mitchell Robinson.

Randle leads the Knicks with an average of 24.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, while RJ Barrett has been a strong performer, averaging 19.3 points and 5.4 rebounds over the last 10 games.

Barrett (finger) has been ruled out for this game versus the Suns with a right index finger laceration he suffered early in last Tuesday’s 126-121 overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Knicks have an 8-10 record at home, while the Suns have a less impressive 6-12 record on the road.

However, the Suns won the last meeting between the two teams, a 116-95 victory on November 20th in which Cameron Payne scored 21 points.
