LA Lakers crush Dallas Mavericks, 115-89 to end skid

DALLAS, Texas (Sporting Alert) — Antawn Jamison scored 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to help the Los Angeles Lakers to a dominating 115-89 victory over the Dallas Mavericks here at American Airlines Center Saturday night.

Jamison shot 7-of-11 from the field in his almost 30 minutes outing off the bench, as the Lakers picked up their first road win this season.

“He’s a player. We’ll keep milking it,” Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni about Jamison.

Kobe Bryant also scored 19 points and dished out five assists and Metta World Peace finished with 19 as well with six rebounds in the win for the Lakers.

Dwight Howard added 15 points and Pau Gasol chipped in with 13 for the Lakers to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Sacramento and Memphis.

Meanwhile, Vince Carter scored 16 points to lead the Mavericks at home.

Jae Crowder had 15, O.J. Mayo added 13 and Shawn Marion finished with 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss for Dallas.
