LAKERS NEWS: Dwight Howard will play against Cavaliers

LOS ANGELES (Sporting Alert) — Dwight Howard will play for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Staples Center.

Howard was questionable for the game because of a shoulder injury he picked up against the Los Angeles Clippers, but after being re-evaluated by the Lakers medical staff before the game, the start center was cleared to play.

In fact, the Lakers said he will start.

Dwight Howard (shoulder) will start tonight vs CLE,” the club revealed.

However, Pau Gasol (concussion) will not play tonight.

He said on his official Twitter account, “Tonight we play Cleveland at home.

“I’m not able to play yet but I will be at Staples supporting my teammates.”

The LA Lakers are struggling with both injuries and poor run of form and Kobe Bryant will be hoping to lead his team to victory tonight that would end a six game losing streak.
