Lakers on top in crazy finish with Bobcats, as Gasol returns

LOS ANGELES (Sporting Alert) — Dwight Howard blocked Kemba Walker’s 3-foot layup with 0.05 seconds left and then two other Bobcats players missed game winning chances during that short span and the Gasol will play for Lakers against Charlotte Bobcats tonight” href=”https://sportingalert.com/2012/12/pau-gasol-play-lakers-charlotte-bobcats-tonight/”>Pau Gasol after he missed eight straight games because of injuries.

Dwight Howard pulled down 18 rebounds and scored 16 points and Gasol had 10 points, nine boards, five assists and four blocks for the Lakers, which have now won three straight.

The Lakers are now 8-6 at home at the STAPLES Center.

Kemba Walker was the key contributor for the Charlotte Bobcats (7-17) with 28 points and seven assists.

He got support from Ramon Sessions, who added 20 points and six helpers, while Gerald Henderson finished with 19 points, but missed a potential game winning layup in the closing seconds of the game.

Byron Mullens had 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Bobcats, who have now dropped 12 straight games.

Ben Gordon missed a 26-foot three point shot also that would have won the game for the visitors in a crazy closing seconds of the contest.
