Two AP Top 25 SEC teams lost on Wednesday night —No. 9 Arkansas was beaten by a very spirited LSU team at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, LA, and No. 19 Kentucky was outplayed by an energetic Missouri team at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, MO.
Four SEC AP Top 25 teams won, who were they?
The four other SEC AP Top 25 teams won their respective games, as No. 7 Tennessee overcame a tough Ole Miss team on the road to secure a 63-59 victory with Santiago Vescovi scoring 22 points for the Vols, No. 8 Alabama beat No. 21 Mississippi State, 78-67, No. 20 Auburn topped Florida, 61-58, and Georgia outlasted Rider, 78-72 in the night’s other SEC score.
Kobe Brown of Missouri was the SEC player with the most points on Wednesday night after he scored 30 points for the Tigers in the victory. Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe had 23 points in the loss and he scored the second most points overall as an SEC player last night.
Elsewhere, Santiago Vescovi was inspirational with 22 points for Tennessee in its win at Ole Miss, which collected 18 in a losing effort from Jaemyn Brakefield, Mark Sears scored 20 points for Alabama in the win over Mississippi State, while Trae Hannibal tallied 19pts in leading LSU over the Razorbacks in a very entertaining contest.
