LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made five changes his the team for today’s English Premier League clash with Newcastle United at Emirates Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud all return to the starting lineup after they were rested in the midweek 4-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray as Arsenal look to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Stoke City.

Full-back Kieran Gibbs is also into the starting team as he comes in for Calum Chambers, who is out of this game because of suspension.

Aaron Ramsey, who is out injured, Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell, Yaya Sanogo, along with Chambers were the players making way for today’s game.

Wenger also starts full-back Mathieu Debuchy, but he has been shifted inside to play as a centre back.

Arsenal have also named Francis Coquelin, who was recalled by the Gunners from his loan spell at Charlton this week, as well as Maitland-Niles and Semi Ajayi to the substitutes bench.

Newcastle United made four adjustment to the team that started in the 2-1 victory over league leaders Chelsea, as goalkeeper Jak Alnwick was named among the starters.

Mike Williamson, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse, who netted both goals in the win over the Blues, also start.

Captain Fabricio Coloccini is also fit and does start, but midfielder Mehdi Abeid is still out with a toe injury.

Arsenal will be missing influential midfielder Ramsey, who has been ruled out of the contest with a hamstring injury, while defenders Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal are also injured and are not available.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is without midfielder Moussa Sissoko and defender Steven Taylor who are both suspended.
