In the FA Cup, United earned a replay after Robin van Persie came off the bench to score a last gasp equaliser in a 2-2 draw and manager Sir Alex Ferguson says he will be taking this encounter a little more seriously, although the dutchman isn’t expected to start.

Wayne Rooney is back in the squad, but could start on the bench with manager Ferguson expected to start with Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck in the attack.

Nani returns from a hamstring injury and could start as well, with Ryan and Jonny Evans all set for recalls.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are expected to have their hands full against an improving Swansea City team, looking to upset the favourites on their own turf.
