Oklahoma City (Sporting Alert) — Two NBA title contenders, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers will match talents at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday night.
The Pacers (18-2) were very impressive when brushing aside Western Conference giants, the San Antonio Spurs 111-100 on Saturday, with Paul George leading the way with 28 points.
“I couldn’t be happier with how they played, particularly in the second and third quarter,” Indiana coach Frank Vogel said about the performance against Spurs.
“Second quarter, getting back in the game, but in the third quarter, really busting it open. Tough to pick a star in the game with as many contributions as we got. Just great balance and a great team win.”
Thunder (14-4) rebounded from a defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers with a 109-95 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday and will be looking to push on.
The fans will be looking forward to seeing the matchup between Kevin Durant and George, two players who are currently playing MVP type of basketball at the moment.
