(Sporting Alert) — Live English Premier League updates, live table standings, scores and results from the list of games taking place on Saturday, May 9.

There are seven games EPL games scheduled for Saturday, with Burnley looking to save their season with a victory when they take on fellow relegation battle rivals Hull City.

Newcastle United, going through a horrific run at the moment, will try to stop a disastrous in their fixture with West Bromwich as they are heading the wrong way and could find themselves in a dog fight at the bottom of the table standings.

Leicester City, fresh from their impressive victory over Newcastle last weekend and sitting in 16th place in the league, seek another win when they entertain Southampton. A victory on Saturday could very cement their place in the top flight for next season.

Elsewhere, Manchester United will face on Crystal Palace, trying to stop a three-game losing streak and looking to strengthen their chances of making the Champions League next season.

Everton and Sunderland will kick things off with an early fixture at Goodison Park and former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux, working BBC’s Football Focus, believes the Black Cats could struggle to stay in the league if they don’t win in this trip.

“I think if Sunderland don’t win at Everton they are in big trouble,” Le Saux said. “They have Leicester next week, but then end the season with games against Arsenal and Chelsea.”

Victory for Sunderland, who have a game in hand against Arsenal, would take them as high as 14th in the league.
