Antonio Conte side can go top of the Premier League standings with a victory over the Reds and the Blues will be buzzing to get on the pitch to put some pressure on the rest of the teams that will be in action later this weekend.
Conte revealed on Thursday that summer deadline-day signing David Luiz will start for Chelsea, as he makes his second debut.
Luiz will come into the starting lineup in place of captain John Terry, who suffered an ankle injury during the 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday and will miss almost two weeks.
The Brazil returns to Stamford Bridge, following his move from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Striker Diego Costa is back in good scoring form and will certainly be a threat to the visitors in front of his own home supporters.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to recall playmaker Philippe Coutinho to his starting lineup after he was rested following a long trip back from international duty last weekend.
Centre-back Dejan Lovren is also expected to return to the starting XI after recovering from a badly bruised eye injury that forced him to miss last Saturday’s 4-1 win over champions Leicester City.
However, German holding midfielder Emre Can will miss the game, as he continues to recover from an ankle problem.
Can is back in training, but remains unfit for matches.
