PARIS (Sporting Alert) — Liverpool are believed to be in talks with Sochaux over the possibility of signing winger Ryad Boudebouz.
The midfielder revealed at the weekend that the Barclays Premier League side is just one of the many top European clubs in talks for his transfer.
The 22-year-old Boudebouz said: “Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete.
“There is also Liverpool, who have initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more.”
The Algeria star was a member of the national side which defeated Niger 3-0 on Saturday.
He has been described as a very promising player and has attracted a number of attention from French clubs this past season.
Liverpool, still in the market to find a manager, following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish, are looking to rebuild a squad which can challenge for the Premier League crown next season.
The Reds finished a disappointing eighth this past season – a campaign that forced the owners to take a number actions.
